In the past two years, Kelsey has only had 8 weeks where she did not have chemo treatments.
A happy, silly, friendly 6 year-old, Kelsey has the ability to light up a room the second she walks in.
At the age of 3, Kelsey was diagnosed with an optic glioma brain tumor and mosaic neurofibromatosis. The tumor sits on her optic nerves, causing severe damage to her vision. In fact, Kelsey is far beyond legally blind which means a lot of things are much more difficult for than for other children. There is no surgery or treatment that will bring her vision back.
But nothing will hold Kelsey back. A happy, silly, friendly 6 year-old, Kelsey has the ability to light up a room the second she walks in. Even during the not-so-great times. In the past two hears, Kelsey has had only 8 weeks where she did not have chemotherapy treatments. At the end of August 2015, Kelsey finished a 60 week regimen of chemo and was hoping for at least six months without the treatments. However, the family’s hopes were shattered when she learned a few weeks later when her vision again declined and she was told to start an even stronger chemo treatment.
You can make a difference for children like Kelsey. No child should have to go through this, so I am running in my undies in the freezing cold because I will do whatever it takes, no matter how ridiculous, to help find a cure for NF!
Your donation, whether it be $5 or $500, will provide critical funding to the Children's Tumor Foundation and allow for clinical trials, treatments and ultimately the cure we desperately need.
I sincerely thank you, Kelsey thanks you, and the millions of families who will benefit from this effort thank you.
